Do you enjoy serving others? Meadowview of Johnston is hiring Full-Time or  Part-Time Cook/ Culinary Assistants to join our team! We offer generous benefits and on-the-job training.

Our senior care campus just opened in 2022 in Johnston, which is vibrant and known for annual festivals, music, and togetherness. Our Dietary Aides serve residents, employees, and family members’ meals. Our Culinary Department is a great group to work with and are valued by the staff and residents alike. 

There are Full-Time or  Part-Time, benefit eligible positions available working varied schedules including every other weekend.

Cook/ Culinary Assistant responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and families.
• Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Cook/ Culinary Assistant skills and requirements:

• Prior restaurant or healthcare experience preferred, but not required. We will train you!
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
